Description

Raising Glasses is a new independent bottler of Scotch, Rum, and other spirits. Lorri and John, the founders and husband and wife team, have collected Scotch Whisky for many decades. Their well-developed palates have taken them to this new and exciting world of picking their own casks and bottling them under their “Raising Glasses” label. They are about sharing good bottles and want to raise a glass with you! Holly has also been friends with them for quite some time as they were customers of hers when she worked in Boston. Good people and good whisky ( and rum); what more can you ask for?

Taste

Built in 1811 at the highest point in the city of Glasgow, at its peak Port Dundas was the largest distillery in Scotland, termed the blending powerhouse of Scotland. Port Dundas was demolished in 2011 after a century of producing some of Scotland’s finest single-grain whisky. Grain whisky in Scotland denotes it is made out of some other grain than malted barley. This could include corn, wheat, rye, etc.
