Description

Raising Glasses is a new independent bottler of Scotch, Rum, and other spirits. Lorri and John, the founders and husband and wife team, have collected Scotch Whisky for many decades. Their well-developed palates have taken them to this new and exciting world of picking their own casks and bottling them under their “Raising Glasses” label. They are about sharing good bottles and want to raise a glass with you! Holly has also been friends with them for quite some time as they were customers of hers when she worked in Boston. Good people and good whisky (and rum); what more can you ask for?

Taste

This is the third edition in the Raising Glasses series from Grand Arome Rums from Le Galion Distillery. Finished for 10 months in an Oloroso Sherry Quarter Cask. Distilled from Molasses in a column still.

Brand Tasting Notes: Figs, cured meats, wild tropical fruits, black olives, candied prunes and salted almonds.

Holly’ Tasting Notes: Whoa! Butterscotch, chocolate peanut cookies, peanut butter. Chocolate apples, caramel, some metallic notes on the palate with fruit punch and baking spices.
