Description
Duncan Taylor was originally based out of Glasgow where they were merchants and brokers of Scotch whisky casks. They have been laying down casks from distilleries all over Scotland for decades and now have one of the largest privately-held collections of rare and vintage Scotch Whisky. They now operate out of Huntly, Scotland in the Highlands. They have become quite infamous for their Octave (small cask) finishes.

Cask No. 1179891 | Distilled in September, 1991, Bottled in July, 2018
Cambus Distillery officially opened in the lowlands in the early 1900s. It continued to expand and eventually, after decades of family ownership, became one of the founding distilleries within DCL (eventually Diageo). It was always known to produce mild and mellow whisky and focused on single grain. Single grain in Scotland means the whisky is produced out of a grain other than barley (usually corn or wheat) and distilled on column stills, not pot stills. The distillery was closed in 1993 and now Diageo’s cooperage and some warehousing is housed on the site.
