Lost Lantern is a pioneer of both American Whiskey & Independent Bottlers. Typically we see independent bottlers in Scotland bottling whisky from distilleries all over the country. This is a niche of the industry allowing them to showcase superb single malts and small batch blends that otherwise wouldn’t be available. This has never been commonplace in the USA, until now! They are truly an “American Independent Bottler” and source rare and special whiskies from all over the USA. Their goal is to shine a light on whiskies you may not have seen or tasted before through single casks and blends. They bottle American Single Malts, Bourbons, and Ryes.

This is one of the first blends of single malts ever made in the United States. They brought together the founders and distillers behind some of the country’s most distinctive single malts, all of whom hand-selected barrels for an in-person collaborative blending session. The result was this 12-barrel blend made with single malt whiskies from six distilleries: Balcones in Waco, Texas, Copperworks in Seattle, Washington, Santa Fe Spirits in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Triple Eight Distillery on Nantucket, Massachusetts, Westward Whiskey in Portland, Oregon, Virginia Distillery Co. in Lovingston, Virginia. Holly’s Tasting Notes: Tangerines, apples, and warm, roasted sugar-coated nuts. The palate showcases more dried fruit but is still very silky. There are peaches and cream and more malty fruits.
