Description
Lost Lantern is a Vermont-based independent bottler of American whiskey, founded by Nora Ganley-Roper and Adam Polonski. Inspired by the long tradition of Scotch independent bottlers, the two spent more than a year criss-crossing the United States—visiting distilleries, meeting craft distillers, and sourcing exceptional casks.
Since launching its first releases in late 2020, Lost Lantern has earned wide acclaim: in 2023, it was named Independent Bottler of the Year at the Global Icons of Whisky Awards. Based in Vergennes, Vermont, Lost Lantern bottles both single casks and small-batch blends from more than 30 distilleries across 20+ states, always emphasizing transparency about the origin, age, proof, and distillery source.
Taste
Warfield Distillery & Brewery in Ketchum, Idaho. One of the few American distilleries with traditional Forsyths Scottish pot stills, Warfield is also one of the country’s only certified organic distilleries. Their bright, balanced whiskies reflect this mix of innovation, tradition, and the climate and elevation of the Sawtooth Mountains.
Brand Tasting Notes: This American single malt is incredibly fresh and welcoming, with hints of freshly dried grass, heather honey, and lemon on the nose. The palate has notes of light balanced oak, lemon zest, and a warm roundness. Balanced yet with real heft, this is a truly elegant American single malt.
