THIS STORE PICK IS SOLD OUT. WE WERE SAD TO SEE IT GO AS WELL, BUT ON TO THE NEXT!
Welcome, Saratoga Summer II!
We love living in Saratoga Springs, and summertime here is truly something special. The season brings visitors from around the world—whether they’re drawn by the Adirondacks, the thrill of horse racing, or the timeless charm of our historic town. Saratoga has become a true summer destination, which inspired the name of our release: Saratoga Summer. There’s a unique energy in the air when the sun is shining and the town is alive.
So, what exactly is Saratoga Summer—and who is Lost Lantern? Lost Lantern is an independent bottler of American bourbons, ryes, and other whiskeys. Just a couple of hours from our shop, they’ve been incredible partners who share our whiskey philosophy: it doesn’t matter where a whiskey comes from—what matters is how it tastes. Adam and Nora, the founders of Lost Lantern, helped us select a standout single barrel of Kings County Bourbon for our very first Saratoga Summer release in 2024. This year, the process was just as exciting. They sent us more than a dozen blind samples—no brand names, no mashbills, no ages—just whiskey in its purest form. One sample kept drawing us back, thanks to its exceptional mouthfeel.
For our 2025 Saratoga Summer II release, we’re thrilled to share that the whiskey comes from SanTan Spirits in Chandler, Arizona. SanTan is Arizona’s largest brewery and distillery, and this marks Lost Lantern’s very first release from them—as well as our first time tasting their work. The mashbill is 55% corn, 13% rye, and 32% malted barley. It seems a theme is emerging for Saratoga Summer: bourbons with a high malted barley content. At least so far!
Don’t forget, each year we will have a summer release of “Saratoga Summer”, so collect them all!
