Description

Single Cask Nation began as a membership society of folks who were interested in rare, fine single-cask whiskies and other spirits. Now they are a top independent bottler of spirits. The founders are Joshua Hatton & Jason Johnstone-Yellin, who are both highly regarded in the whisky industry for their palates and podcast, One Nation Under Whisky. In 2024, they announced new ownership changes under Artisanal Spirits, who are also the owners of The Scotch Malt Whisky Society. Joshua and Jason are still the vision and palate behind the brand.

Brand Tasting Notes: Fruit forward, cereal, and pepper.

Loch Lomond is a Highland Distillery north of Glasgow. It is known for its multiple styles of pot and column stills, which allow it to produce many different flavor profiles of single malt on-site. The distillery also has a cooperage on site, which is rare now in Scotland. “Inchmurrin” is the name given to its whisky, which is distilled on special pot stills equipped with rectifying heads, where they take higher cut points. This means more copper contact and a lighter, fruiter, grassier spirit.
