Long Island Spirits was established in 2007 as the first distillery on Long Island since the 1800s and the 100th distillery in the US. Although we might forget, Long Island is a hotbed of agriculture with corn, potato, and rye farms. The distillery is located in the North Fork which is mostly known for its wine and relaxing beaches. They pride themselves on a sweet mash and mature out on Long Island.

“Happy Warrior” was Teddy Roosevelt’s nickname and this whiskey is in honor of him. He was a native Long Islander and organized the first US Volunteer Calvary known as the “Rough Riders”.
