Description

Raising Glasses is a new independent bottler of Scotch, Rum, and other spirits. Lorri and John, the founders and husband and wife team, have collected Scotch Whisky for many decades. Their well-developed palates have taken them to this new and exciting world of picking their own casks and bottling them under their “Raising Glasses” label. They are about sharing good bottles and want to raise a glass with you! Holly has also been friends with them for quite some time as they were customers of hers when she worked in Boston. Good people and good whisky ( and rum); what more can you ask for?

Brand Tasting Notes: Opens with luscious kettle corn and evolves to tree bark and gingerbread cookies on the finish.

Holly’s Tasting Notes: The aroma lept out of the mini bottle even before I got it into the glass! Burnt apples, kettle corn, and coconut. A dash of that Pepsi-cola, Dr. Pepper vibe. Banana nuts and vanilla. The palate is a bit dryer, with more baking spice, mocha, and more of the Dr. Pepper spices. Cooked bananas linger. With time in the glass, it turned into an oatmeal, cinnamon raisin cookie or maybe it was gooey gingerbread cookies – maybe both!
