Description
J.J. Corry is a small independent bottler based in County Clare, Ireland. Founded by Louise McGuane, she is known for her innovative approach to blending and aging Irish whiskey. In 2013, Louise came upon an old Irish Whiskey label that had a shamrock on it. After some digging, she discovered that just a few miles away from her family’s farm was a whiskey bonder called “J.J. Corry”. The brand is named in honor of the long-lost entrepreneur.

Matured in Kentucky ex-Bourbon Casks and Sherry Casks from Jerez, Spain | Malt & Grain Whiskey
“Gael” is named after the bicycle that fellow entrepreneur (and Victorian kindred spirit) JJ Corry designed, built, cycled, and sold. More than a nod to her predecessor, The Gael represents the first leg of our journey in the revival of Irish Whiskey Bonding.
Brand Tasting Notes: Orange hard candy develops into candied orange peel, before giving way to cooked stone-fruit flavors: apricot frangipane tart and peach cobbler. These rich complex notes are dusted with dry spices – cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon – which gradually reveal themselves.
Holly’s Tasting Notes: Warm vanilla, toffee, peanut brittle, orange, and some dusty, chalky candy.
