Description
Caribou Crossing Canadian Whisky comes from the Sazerac Company. They are also the parent company behind Buffalo Trace, Barton Distillery, and other non-whiskey brands. They claim it is the first single-barrel Canadian Whisky to be released. That is difficult to prove since most Canadian Whisky producers don’t use mashbills like American Whiskey. They produce corn, wheat, rye, and single malt whiskies singularly and let them mature, then marry them together before the bottling process. We do know this is a release from the collection of about 200,000 casks that Sazerac purchased from a now-defunct Canadian Distillery.
