Raising Glasses is a new independent bottler of Scotch, Rum, and other spirits. Lorri and John, the founders and husband and wife team, have collected Scotch Whisky for many decades. Their well-developed palates have taken them to this new and exciting world of picking their own casks and bottling them under their “Raising Glasses” label. They are about sharing good bottles and want to raise a glass with you! Holly has also been friends with them for quite some time as they were customers of hers when she worked in Boston. Good people and good whisky ( and rum); what more can you ask for?
Taste
The Legend: On the island of Reunion off the coast of Africa, a Hindu, Muslim and Christian debated whose hometown river fed the Great Ocean. They climbed a mountain and laughed when they saw all three rivers emptied into the same ocean. The three friends would reunite every year to celebrate the united diversity that shapes our world.
The Rum: Known for agricole, Reunion’s Savanna distillery also produces spectacular molasses rum.
Brand Tasting Notes: creamy buttery mouthfeel with notes of raisin bran, fruity ultra dark Madagascar chocolate, banana and tart green mango.
Aging: 2 years in Reunion, 4 years in EU and 1 year in the US
