Rozelieures Origin Triple Cask French Single Malt Whisky

The roots of the Rozelieures whisky distillery stretch back to the late 19th century when the Grallet family began farming barley and cultivating mirabelle orchards in the small Lorraine village of Rozelieures. Over generations, they became well-established producers of fruit brandies and cereals, learning to master the land and its crops. In the early 2000s, driven by a passion for whisky and inspired by trips to Scotland, Christophe Dupic — who had joined the family business — realized that the estate’s abundant water, rich soils, and existing distillation equipment offered everything needed to make whisky. Together with his wife Sabine and father-in-law Hubert Grallet, he set in motion the project of crafting whisky entirely on the farm, a vision that culminated in the first commercial release of Rozelieures single malt in 2007.

What sets Rozelieures apart in the whisky world is its complete control over the production from field to bottle. The family grows its own barley, malts and brews it on site, distils using traditional double pot stills, and then ages the spirit in a variety of barrels — including those that once held bourbon, sherry, fine French wines, and other spirits — across several distinct cellars. Over time the distillery has added its own malting facility and continued innovating, becoming one of the few whisky makers globally to oversee every step of the whisky-making process while still operating as a family-run enterprise.
