Barton Distillery was established in 1879 in Bardstown, Kentucky, and continues to be the oldest fully-operating distillery in the state. No longer open to the public, its focus is on the production of the brands 1792 Bourbon (named after when Kentucky became a state), Very Old Barton Bourbon, and Tom Moore Bourbon and Whiskeys. Owned by Sazerac.
Taste
We don’t really believe in “bottom shelf” whiskey but this would be one of the gems if there were. Holly is a huge fan of Very Old Barton!
