The Uncharted Whisky Company is an independent whisky bottler located in Fintry, Scotland, operated by Jack Breslin and Dana de Vos. They both came from the drinks industry and wanted to bottle their own whisky under this new brand.
Taste
Speyside Distillery, located within the magnificent Cairngorm Mountains, and widely acknowledged as being the prettiest of all Scotland’s distilleries. Originally a barley mill and croft dating back to the 1700s, it finally closed in 1965. Over the next 25 years from 1965 it was slowly and lovingly converted into a single malt distillery, which then started producing spirit in 1990.
A marriage of a Bourbon matured and Oloroso Sherry matured single malts.
Brand Tasting Notes: The nose has dry spice, vanilla fudge aromas float through a carpenter’s workshop. Sherry notes spring out of the glass of sweet cloves, marzipan and dark chocolate. The palate has a touch of dry oak and mellow sweetness. give way to butterscotch sauce, candied ginger, dried apricots and blossom. The finish is a mellow and sweet finish with the florals returning after the toffee and vanilla fade.
