The Uncharted Whisky Company is an independent whisky bottler located in Fintry, Scotland, operated by Jack Breslin and Dana de Vos. They both came from the drinks industry and wanted to bottle their own whisky under this new brand.
Taste
Auchroisk [pronounced Orth-rusk] is one of Diageo’s ‘nutty-spicy’ sites. At this distillery, the heavy character is produced by rapid mashing and quick fermentation. It is most comparable to Blair Athol and is bottled under the Singleton line.
Brand Tasting Notes: The nose is an un-ashamed sherry bomb. Oloroso sherry leaps out the glass chased by the cask strength tingle. Deep sticky toffee, Nutellla, brown sugar, leather and cigar box. The palate is mature at first; new leather, Christmas pudding and vanilla ice cream. A touch of water brings the caramel and toffee chocolate box to life. The finish is long tingling spice, chocolate and cinnamon Danish pastries.
