Description

Tomatin Distillery sits just outside of Inverness in the Scottish Highlands. They are known to make very fruity, malty single malt whisky. A lot of it still goes into blends but they also produce a peated style as well. Founded in 1897, at one time they were one of the largest distilleries in Scotland.

Taste

Distilled on the 6th of June 2003, this whisky spent the first 10 years of its life in traditional Scotch Whisky oak casks. On 1st May 2013, it was transferred to Portuguese Moscatel wine barriques which have imparted flavors of toasted almonds and oranges, sun-dried raisins, and figs with a sweet and creamy finish.
