Description

Tomatin Distillery sits just outside of Inverness in the Scottish Highlands. They are known to make very fruity, malty single malt whisky. A lot of it still goes into blends but they also produce a peated style as well. Founded in 1897, at one time they were one of the largest distilleries in Scotland.

Taste

The Tomatin 14-Year-Old is soft, smooth, and sweet, benefitting from its time spent in Tawny Port pipes from the Symington Family Estates Portugal which previously held port for around 50 years. Rich but balanced aromas of red berries, sweet honey, and rich toffee develop into aspects of light fruits and nuts on the palate and an abiding finish of smooth fruit salad.
