Fukano Distillery has been making spirits in Japan since 1823. Shigeruriku Fukano is the fifth generation of his family to run the distillery, located in Hitoyoshi City, Kumamoto Prefecture of Japan, a few towns away from Ohishi Distillery and, consequently, the Kuma River supplies the water for both distilleries. Fukano bottles a variety of rice-based whisky expressions that have a minerality and texture we have come to know and love.

5,670 Bottles || The Fukano 2022 Edition #2223 is a combination of French Red Wine casks and Manzanilla Sherry Casks.

Brand Tastings Notes: Aromas of sugared plums and mulberry with undertones of baking spice and root vegetables transition to a palate of cherry blossom, honeysuckle, toasted macadamia nut, and orchard fruit with a finish of plantain and white chocolate-covered cherry.
