Taste
This release begins with a 2008 barrel from one of only 2 Royal Distilleries in Scotland, Royal Brackla in the Northern Highlands, close to Cawdor Castle made famous in Shakespeare’s Macbeth. 330 Bottles.
Marry this classy Highland dram with the tangy, spicy richness of Madeira Wine, and what emerges is rich, creamy, and a tad spicy.
Holly’s Tasting Notes: Yellow cinnamon raisin bread with dashes of nutmeg, the spice is bright. There is a nuttiness that as it opens up turns into a buttercream. Maybe you can put that butter on the cinnamon raisin toast! The palate is more spicy dried fruits, jammy, and figs.
Thanks to my friend Harold for letting me try this whisky from his personal bottle!
