The Pinhook brand was founded by Sean Josephs who has an impressive background in the culinary scene of NYC. Some of his work includes roles at Char No. 4 and Maysville. He also opened Kenton’s in New Orleans. His love for food and Bourbon led to the inspiration for Pinhook. The rye is sourced from MGP in Indiana and the Bourbon is sometimes from MGP and other times comes from Castle & Key Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. Sean works directly with Castle & Key to create custom mashbills and blends for some of his Bourbon releases.
“Pinhook” is an old Kentucky term for buying and nurturing foals into champions.

Holly’s Tasting Notes: Cinnamon, vanilla pudding, dark chocolate, and mocha. The palate has more of that candied cinnamon spice followed by peanut brittle, nougat, chocolate, and chocolate-covered espresso beans.
