Description

Distilling in Wales was a lost art but in the late 1990s, a group of friends started chatting about a new distillery while sipping beers at a pub. The village of Penderyn was chosen because of the natural spring water and the first whisky was released in 2004. They have now expanded with a new distillery that was built in the Spring of 2021 in Llandudno North Wales and another distillery is planned for Swansea.

Brand Tasting Notes: The nose is red fruits with citrus zest, oily hazelnuts, and dark chocolate together with dates, figs, and plums. The palate is oily vanilla sweetness alongside woodland berries such as raspberries and wild strawberries. Plum jam with oak tannins and cinnamon spices. The finish is fruity with dark chocolate and black coffee.
