Description
Omar means amber in the Gaelic language. The Omar brand is produced at Nantou Distillery in Taiwan which is surrounded by mountains with pure water. The area is suitable for whisky making and maturation. Nantou Distillery or “TTL” released its first single malt whisky in October 2013. It’s famous for its tropical fruity flavors.
Taste
This single malt release has been matured in ex-Bourbon casks.
Brand Tasting Notes: Refreshing white flowers with vanilla, cream, and honey. Along with that are dried mangos and other tropical fruits. The finish is vanilla and floral.
Holly’s Tasting Notes: Old lemon rinds, vanilla, and pears. There is brown sugar and some burnt or toasted fruit in there too. The palate has citrus, peaches, and custard.
