Prohibition Craft Spirits (PCS) is the bottler for the brand Nulu and was founded in 2016. They have become known for their sourcing of barrels and private barrel picks for bourbon clubs and shops. They have become quite popular with their picks and toasted finishes.
Taste
Finished for 8 months in Honey Barrels. Part of the Experimental Finish Series. Barrel R82.
Holly’s Tasting Notes: Caramel & buttered popcorn (cracker jack) and quite creamy on the nose. The rye bread smell and pepper are dancing around in the sweetness. The palate shows a lot of great spice all throughout, from the first hit to the finish. A lot of cinnamon and nutmeg; cinnamon raisin toast. The honey barrel gives it a real caramel cream quality. This is headed towards that cocktail in a bottle quality but still shows a lot of the rye qualities, not overpowered by the honey.
