Middle West Spirits is in Columbus, Ohio, and was founded in 2008 by Ryan Lang, the head distiller. Originally operating out of a small location in downtown Columbus, in 2023 they began a massive expansion just outside of town, making them one of the top producers of whiskey by volume in the USA. They are known for the Bourbon and Rye, specifically their Dark Pumpernickel Rye.

Brand Tasting Notes: A soft, sweet aroma and full-bodied. Notes of vanilla, caramel, cinnamon, and smoked oak. A pumpernickel spice finish.
Holly’s Tasting Notes: Mocha, cocoa, and coffee. Fruit punch. blueberries, logan berry sweetness with some sweet BBQ kettle chips on the finish.
