Lost Lantern is a pioneer of both American Whiskey & Independent Bottlers. Typically we see independent bottlers in Scotland bottling whisky from distilleries all over the country. This is a niche of the industry allowing them to showcase superb single malts and small batch blends that otherwise wouldn’t be available. This has never been commonplace in the USA, until now! They are truly an “American Independent Bottler” and source rare and special whiskies from all over the USA. Their goal is to shine a light on whiskies you may not have seen or tasted before through single casks and blends. They bottle American Single Malts, Bourbons, and Ryes.
Taste
“Saratoga Summer III” is a special collaboration between First Fill and our friends Adam and Nora at Lost Lantern. We’ve long admired their blends and single casks, so it was an easy decision to team up again for a 2026 Saratoga Summer release. This annual bottling celebrates our hometown of Saratoga Springs—a place that truly comes alive in the summer with its lakes, the nearby Adirondacks, world-class horse racing, and vibrant local energy.
To select this year’s whiskey, Adam and Nora sent us blind samples. After much tasting and deliberation, Holly and I kept returning to two standouts. When the reveal came, we were stunned to learn our favorite samples came from the same distillery! And they were two different styles of whiskey! We hope you enjoy these whiskeys as much as we do.

2024 Release – Kings County Bourbon
2025 – SanTan Spirits Bourbon
2026 – Cedar Ridge Bourbon and Wheat Whiskey (2 expressions)
This is a rare cask strength release of Cedar Ridge’s Bourbon, which has become the top-selling Bourbon in Iowa. Cedar Ridge is located in Swisher, IA. The mashbill is 74% Iowa-grown Corn, 14% Rye, 12% Malted Barley. Aged for 4 years in New Oak Casks.
Charles’ Tasting Notes: On the nose cocoa powder, baking spice and vanilla; the palate has rich milk chocolate Cadbury egg, leather and oak; the finish is long and silky.
