Lost Lantern is a pioneer of both American Whiskey & Independent Bottlers. Typically, we see independent bottlers in Scotland bottling whisky from distilleries all over the country. This is a niche of the industry allowing them to showcase superb single malts and small batch blends that otherwise wouldn’t be available. This has never been commonplace in the USA, until now! They are truly an “American Independent Bottler” and source rare and special whiskies from all over the USA. Their goal is to shine a light on whiskies you may not have seen or tasted before through single casks and blends. They bottle American Single Malts, Bourbons, and Ryes.

Single Cask #5, Spring 2025 | Mashbill 80% Danko Rye, 20% Malted Barley, all NY State grown
This is a Rye whiskey distilled at Finger Lakes Distilling in New York. It was matured for 6 years in new charred American oak and then finished for 3 months in a barrel that previously held Pommeau (apple brandy and fresh apple juice blend).
Brand Tasting Notes: The nose bursts with juicy apple, cinnamon, spice, and plum. The rich palate is warm and balanced with hints of spiced apple cider, warm rye spice and gentle oak.
Holly’s Tasting Notes: Oats, apple crumble, cinnamon apple pie, and honey nut Cheerios. The palate is soft and creamy with apples and pear sorbet.
