Description

Lost Lantern is a Vermont-based independent bottler of American whiskey, founded by Nora Ganley-Roper and Adam Polonski. Inspired by the long tradition of Scotch independent bottlers, the two spent more than a year criss-crossing the United States—visiting distilleries, meeting craft distillers, and sourcing exceptional casks.

Since launching its first releases in late 2020, Lost Lantern has earned wide acclaim: in 2023, it was named Independent Bottler of the Year at the Global Icons of Whisky Awards. Based in Vergennes, Vermont, Lost Lantern bottles both single casks and small-batch blends from more than 30 distilleries across 20+ states, always emphasizing transparency about the origin, age, proof, and distillery source.

Taste

Single Cask No. 2 2026 | 3 years and 8 months old

Lost Lantern hand-selected this cask from Copperworks Distilling in Seattle, Washington. Founded by brewers, Copperworks brings craft beer’s precision and commitment to local ingredients to distilling. The distillery works closely with local farms to source its grain, leading to whiskies that truly reflect the climate of the Pacific Northwest.

This was distilled from five malted barleys with different roast levels and was aged for 3 years in a new oak cask.

Brand Tasting Notes: The warm, spicy nose has hints of clove and milk chocolate. The palate has a fresh malty depth, with hints of honey oat cereal, cardamom, and clove. Warm and dense with baking spice notes, this exemplifies the balance of a new oak-aged American single malt that showcases grain as much as oak.
