Living Souls is a Glasgow-based independent Scotch whisky bottler founded in 2024 by industry veterans John Torrance, Jamie Williamson, and Calum Leslie. Drawing on decades of experience at companies like Douglas Laing, Tullibardine, and Loch Lomond, the trio set out to create limited-edition whiskies that highlight individuality, natural character, and craftsmanship — all bottled without chill filtration or added color.
Their inaugural “Batch #1” collection featured four distinctive releases, including a 15-year-old solera-style blend, an 18-year-old Tobermory/Ledaig malt, a 19-year-old Islay-style blended malt, and a 40-year-old blended Scotch matured together since 1998. With a focus on quality and storytelling, Living Souls aims to connect drinkers to memorable, one-of-a-kind Scotch whisky experiences.

Brand Tasting Notes: Baskets of crisp pears, apples, and a freshly baked tarte tatin with rich vanilla custard. On the palate, there is a bright, nostalgic sweetness with more fruit.
Holly’s Tasting Notes: Green apples, mint, saltwater taffy, banana laffy taffy candy. There is a candied, whipped cream sort of confection on the nose. The palate has some earth, light wisps of cigar smoke, roasted apple pie, and doughy notes, with a long, clay-like finish.
