Larusee Swiss Single Cask Absinthe ‘Lamartine’

While regularly visiting Jean-Pierre Candaux’s screen printing workshop in Fenin, Nicolas Nyfeler formed a close friendship with him and eventually married his daughter Aurélie. During their time together, Jean-Pierre shared the story of Léon Duvanel, his wife Danièle’s grandfather, who had once dreamed of distilling absinthe but gave it up due to his wife’s strong objections, storing away his research and recipes in an attic trunk. Though Léon had passed away, his passion for absinthe lived on through the stories he shared with Jean-Pierre, inspiring both men. In 2012, Nicolas and Jean-Pierre decided to revive Léon’s vision and founded Larusée, aiming to restore the image of absinthe through their craft.
