King’s Family Distillery is a craft whiskey distillery in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. They were founded in 2018 by couple Justin and Cara King. Justin and Cara have more than a decade of experience in the whiskey industry. Justin comes from a moonshine and distilling background and Cara’s family owns a grain firm that she was involved in for many years.

Holly’s Tasting Notes: Vanilla frosted yellow cake, almond butter, and dashes of orange and tangerine. The palate has spice where the nose didn’t have much spice and it is followed by cocoa and dark chocolate. Very rich, and sits right in the middle of the palate as it expands out to the cheeks, quite heavy. Again, more chocolate on the palate with a bit of older oranges, leather, and mocha. Not what I was expecting but quite nice.
