Founded in 2005, Kilchoman was the first new distillery to be built on Islay in over 124 years. Anthony Wills, Kilchoman Founder, set out to resurrect the grassroots tradition of farm distilling. Their 100% Islay range represents the revival of these traditions, standing alone as Islay’s only Single Farm Single Malt Scotch Whisky. They do everything on-site, even their own maltings.

Taste

This PX Sherry Matured 2023 Edition was matured for a minimum of five years in Pedro Ximenez casks that were previously used by Bodega Jose y Miguel Martin, Jerez, Spain.

Brand Tasting Notes: The nose has sweet sultanas and raisins rounded with peat smoke layers of licorice and hints of citrus sweetness. The palate has brown sugar and malty sweetness then orange peel, citrus, dark chocolate, and waves of sherry richness. The finish is chocolate-coated raisins, and oak smoke, mixed with spices and lasting PX sweetness.
