Idle Hands 5 Year Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Spirits Industry veteran Dave Schmier began Proof & Wood in 2015, with the goal of compiling a portfolio of some of the best spirits in the world through the time-honored tradition of independent blending and bottling. Although the cornerstone of the company’s selection is American whiskey, its spirits span a range of categories. A focus on aging, blending, and bottling rather than distilling—quite literally the proof and wood involved in the crafting of these spirits—has resulted in a curation of stellar distillates that are must-haves for cocktailing and sipping alike.

This limited edition, heavy-rye bourbon was distilled in Indiana in 2015. Mash bill of 60% corn, 36% rye, and 4% barley. Aged 5 years. Approximately 48% ABV. Bottled in collaboration with the now-closed East Village, NY, bar of the same name; only two small batches in total were produced, composed of 13 barrels each.
