Known as the “jewel of Albany County”, the town of New Scotland is nestled at the base of the Helderberg Mountains in the heart of Upstate New York. The Helderberg Whiskeys are the culmination of a lifelong friendship between two “New Scots” who aimed to harness the essence of their rural hometown and sip whiskey. Recalling Old World recipes but grown, malted, and distilled entirely in New York State, the whiskeys hopefully bring you to the countryside of Upstate, New York.
Mashbill: 75% rye / 20% corn / 5% Malted Barley
Holly’s Tasting Notes: Old nuts, cashews, and Fall Harvest Honey. Chai tea and black tea and you can smell the rich rye grain. It lingers on the finish as well. This is a really cool rye. We really enjoyed this one.
