Fred Jerbis was founded by Federico, whose childhood passion for plants and nature led him to create artisanal spirits using homegrown herbs. Starting with plant cultivation near his home in Friuli and working nights as a barman, he opened his first lab in a former pharmacy in Polcenigo in 2014. There, his “Federico’s herbs” project began, driven by the goal of crafting the ultimate Italian Negroni. This led to his signature spirits—Gin43, Bitter34, and Vermouth25—each named for the number of botanicals they contain. In 2020, he moved to a new distillery nestled in nature by the Gorgazzo river, where he built a botanical garden and launched the Alkemil line: small-batch, herb-forward liqueurs ideal for mixing.

Infused with 25 botanicals, mostly from their farm. The short aging in chestnut barrels serves to accentuate the stringent, almost savory note. The color is deep amber, given by the extractions of the plants used: gentian, angelica, centaurea, chamomile, laurel, and the percentage of sugar is very low.
