Paul Jones Jr. trademarked the name Four Roses in the late 1800s and would eventually buy the Frankfort Distilling Company in the 1920s. Four Roses is now owned by Kirin, a Japanese company, you probably know the beer!
They have become famous for their Six Recipes which tell you the mashbill and yeast strain:
