Eifel began in 2008 and is based in the Eifel region of Germany which is northwest of Frankfurt, right on the Belgium border. Founded by husband and wife duo Stephen and Carolin. Stephen was a wine importer and distributor for over 30 years in Germany and wanted to make his own spirit. Only small amounts of their releases are allocated to the US market.

Taste

This is the 2019 Edition of the Peated Single Malt. 100% peated Barley Malt. 4 to 5 + years 80% freshly emptied and refill red wine barriques (mainly American oak) from France and Germany and 20% refill acacia barriques plus 1 year finish in a freshly emptied Sherry cask.
