Description

Edradour Distillery used to be the smallest working distillery in Scotland and still, to this day, looks like some sort of functioning museum. Founded in 1837 in the Perthshire, Highland region of Scotland, it is now owned by Signatory. Although still a very small distillery, they produce many different styles of whisky including peated and unpeated. They still utilize worm tub condensers and are known for a robust and fruity new make spirit.

Taste

The Edradour Caledonia release is matured in Oloroso Sherry Casks and named after Dougie MacLean. Dougie wrote the song Caledonia in 1977 on a beach in Brittany France when he was homesick for Scotland. He was from Perthshire where Edradour Distillery is and so this is named after him and his song.
