The core range of Douglas Laing includes the Remarkable Regional Malts: The Epicurean (Lowland), Timorous Beastie (Highland), Scallywag (Speyside), The Gauldrons (Campbeltown), Rock Island (Islands), as well as Big Peat from Islay. They also bottle single casks such as the Old Particular and Xtra Old Particular bottlings.

Douglas Laing owns Strathearn in Perthshire which was acquired in 2019 and planning to build a new distillery in Glasgow.

Holly’s Tasting Notes: Fresh, juicy green apples with fresh cream, a cream spread with oil and grass. The palate is nutty with warm apple pie, spicey, and along with a grassy sweet finish.

Tasting Notes from the Brand:

Nose: Fresh! Vanilla pods with damp grass, freshly charred oak, and custard cream.

Palate: Home-baking developing to barley sweetness and a delicious spiciness.

Finish: Deliciously long with coconut cream, eucalyptus, and cut grass.
