The core range of Douglas Laing includes the Remarkable Regional Malts: The Epicurean (Lowland), Timorous Beastie (Highland), Scallywag (Speyside), The Gauldrons (Campbeltown), Rock Island (Islands), as well as Big Peat from Islay. They also bottle single casks such as the Old Particular and Xtra Old Particular bottlings.
Douglas Laing owns Strathearn in Perthshire which was acquired in 2019 and planning to build a new distillery in Glasgow.

Tasting Notes from the Brand:
Nose: Reminiscent of the seashore – salty with sweet seaweed – then comes the smoke.
Palate: Earth and peat smoke, cured meat, burnt wood, and warming spices.
Finish: Long with bacon, buttered toast, barley, and a tobacco character.
