Description

Distiller’s Art is a single-cask range of bottlings released by Hunter Laing. Hunter Laing was founded in Glasgow, similar to the Douglas Laing story and became their own entity in 2013. They are behind other great bottlings such as Old Malt Cask and Old & Rare. They also are the owners of the new Islay distillery, Ardnahoe

The Craigellachie Distillery has an iconic stillhouse that you can’t miss when driving in the heart of Speyside. Hidden behind their distillery are their worm-tub condensers that give this fruity Speyside a heavier quality to the spirit.

Taste

Distilled in April 2008 and bottled in 2022 || 650 bottles from a single sherry butt

Brand Tasting Notes: Apples, pencil shavings & licorice. On the palate, are chocolate, old books, and apples. A long finish. (these tasting notes are a bit odd but Holly is a huge fan of Craigellachie and this is a first-fill sherry butt, so if you like bold, bold fruit and baking spices with a bit of worm-tub funk, this is for you)
