Description

One of our most local whiskeys to date, Second Act Spirits, the distillery behind Clocktower Bourbon, was founded by a husband and wife team. They are a farm distillery committed to using New York-sourced grains and to supporting local agriculture. They distill in Glenville, New York, while their tasting room is located in the historic Amsterdam Clocktower at 37 Prospect Street. The Clocktower has been a part of the City of Amsterdam skyline for over 100 years. The building was built by the Bigelow-Sanford Carpet Company and later housed Coleco, the makers of Colecovision and the famous Cabbage Patch dolls of the 1980s.

Brand Tasting Notes: The initial notes reveal a delightful sweetness, reminiscent of buttery caramel and creamy vanilla. These sweet notes are beautifully balanced by the subtle presence of oak, adding a layer of depth and complexity to the experience. The finish is remarkably smooth, leaving a warm and satisfying sensation that lingers on the palate.

Holly’s Tasting Notes: Vanilla, green apples, with a candied sweetness like Jolly Ranchers. The palate has sweet oak, jelly candied fruits, and oranges.
