Taste
This release is a marriage of 3 casks that were re-racking into Oloroso Sherry casks for about 1 year and then again, into refill Bourbon barrels in October 2022, then bottled in September 2023.
Tamdhu Distillery, founded in 1897, has a signature style that displays distinctive notes of spice and dried fruit. The distillery is located in the Speyside region in Knockando, Banffshire. Tamdhu comes from Gaelic for “little dark hill”. A reliable component of blends over the years, Tamdhu spirit is known to be a sweet and fruity spirit with the ability to handle aging in ex-sherry casks.
Brand Tasting Notes: The nose is meaty with mint, sprig, and oregano. The palate has figs, blood orange, maraschino cherries, and mocha coffee. The finish is earthy with cola and dried herbs.
