Description
Benromach distillery was first established in Forres, Scotland in 1898.
The distillery was acquired by the Urquharts in 1993, who also own and operate the independent bottler, Gordon & MacPhail. Under their domain, the family wanted to bring back a more classic style of Speyside whisky where it was lightly peated, just a touch of smoke along with the fruity qualities. This distillery has an extremely small production capacity.
Taste
Matured for 7 years in first-fill bourbon casks and then finished in Sassicaia red wine casks for almost 2 years.
Rich summer fruits, soft spice, milk chocolate, and finishing with a subtle smokiness.
