Taste

This is the first rye release from Bardstown that is 100% made out of their own whiskey. This is a marriage of 6YR old rye whiskeys with the mashbill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. Distilled in Spring 2017.

This “Origin Series” rye is a marriage of custom barrels comprised of toasted American oak and toasted cherry wood staves. This finishing process creates a wholly unique flavor unlike anything seen in the rye category.

Brand Tasting Notes: Ripe cherry resonates through toasted oak, highlighted by white flowers, dill, and cinnamon.

Holly’s Tasting Notes: Almonds and plums with some clove and dill. The palate is juicy up front and then the spice takes over to cover the tongue. Cinnamon, oak spice and some sweet dried fruits. Love the nose.
