Taste

Ardnamurchan is steeped in rural, coastal woods on a peninsula on the West Coast of Scotland and has stayed true to its natural roots. All the power and heat requirements for the distillery come from local renewables. They have a biomass boiler and hydroelectricity generator that are both fueled by woodchip from the local forestry. They want as little of a footprint as possible. A truly beautiful and remote distillery owned by Adelphi, the independent bottler. Ardnamurchan translates to “Headland of the Great Seas”.
The nose is nutmeg, toffee apple and creme brulee, linseed, Seville oranges, cardamon, Manuka honey, nougat, saltwater, and driftwood. The taste is grapefruit marmalade, flamed orange peel, ripe pear, peach, sweet soy sauce, gentle minerals, warming Sichuan pepper, and campfire.
This is a marriage of peated and unpeated malt and a mixture of Oloroso Sherry casks, Bourbon barrels, and Pedro Ximenez casks.
There is a QR code on every bottle that will tell you exactly what bottle number you have, who bottled in and when.
