Founded by James Fleming in 1879, Aberlour Distillery is in the Speyside region in the village of Aberlour. The water source is Ben Rinnes. They use three different types of casks with their releases including European Shery Oak, American Sherry Oak, and American Ex-Bourbon barrels.

Casg Annamh means “rare cask” in Gaelic. They blend this whisky from a mixture of Spanish Oloroso Sherry Casks. This is Batch 0005

Tasting notes from Aberlour:

Rich tangy orange, glazed cherries, and notes of ginger. The palate is sweet with apples, peaches, cinnamon, and a touch of spicy licorice. The finish is smooth and sweet with spice.
