Description

Aberfeldy Distillery is nestled within a lush valley in the foothills of the Central Highlands of Scotland. Known as the ‘Golden Dram’, the distillery’s water source is the famous Pitilie Burn, renowned locally for its water quality and famed for its deposits of alluvial gold. Time-honored techniques, such as longer fermentation, conjure rare honeyed notes – key to the signature sweetness of Aberfeldy’s malts. Stephanie MacLeod is the Master Blender for both Aberfeldy and the Dewar’s Blends.

Taste

This limited edition release, Batch 2921,  was finished in Cote-Rotie red wine casks from France’s Rhone Valley, the birthplace of Syrah. Aberfeldy’s softer side is enriched by the Cote-Rotie leading to the following tasting notes…

From the Brand:

Bursting with rich fruity red berries smothered in honey, deeply evocative of an Eton Mess pudding. A zing of candied citrus peel brings balance before mellowing to smooth vanilla and butterscotch sweetness.
