Augusta Distillery is located in Augusta, Kentucky right on the Ohio River south of Cincinnati. Before central Kentucky was the hub of Bourbon production, the north, right on the Ohio River would have been the hub and this brand is paying homage to that heritage. Founded in 2018 by co-founders Lance and Lalani Bates, who also own a tavern in the town, they are currently building their distillery in an 1800s production facility. As of now, they source whiskey from throughout Kentucky and bottle it.

Brand Tasting Notes: Fresh clover mingles with welcoming hot toddy aromas of honey, fresh lemon oil, and a hint of clove, leading to a bright palate of lemon thyme and grapefruit pulp and pith before offering brioche, lemon zest, and a hint of shortbread on the finish.
