Hard Truth Sweet Mash Four Grain Bourbon

Hard Truth Distilling Co. began distilling in 2015 as a small project of a few entrepreneurs who owned a pizza restaurant in downtown Nashville, Indiana. The craft distillery quickly grew, and, by 2017, construction had begun on a new facility set on a 325-acre property about a mile away from Hard Truth’s original home. In 2018, they began distilling their sweet mash whiskey on-site. Sweet mash whiskey is a type of whiskey made using a fermentation process that does not rely on the addition of any previously fermented mash. Instead, a fresh mixture of grains, water, and yeast is used for each batch. The more common process is a sour mash, which incorporates a portion of a previously fermented mash into a new batch.
